Fathers Day Ideas (5 Best Gifts)

Bathroom Cleaning Checklist | Helping Hands Cleaning Services
Father’s Day is coming up this week— are you still looking for Fathers Day Ideas or even the perfect gift? Moms are busy, especially in the summer when kids are home from school all day long, running to and from day camps. Evening activities also eat up a ton of your time, significantly reducing the amount of time you have to come up with something that will wow the dad in your life. We’re here to help! We’ve compiled the 5 best Father’s Day gifts you can make or buy, all of which you still have plenty of time for! Fathers Day Ideas (Gift #1): Hand Painted Grilling Platter It was no mistake that Father’s Day falls on a Sunday in June. It’s grilling season— the perfect time to give any gift that has to do with outdoor cooking. If you’re looking to get your kids in on the action, this is the perfect gift for the little ones to help create. What You’ll Need: White ovenproof platter Ceramic paint Small art brush Ceramic paint pen Oven Use the ceramic pen to write a message to Dad on the front of the platter. Once it has dried, use the ceramic pen to sign and date the back of the platter as well. Use the ceramic paint and art brush to decorate the perimeter of the platter. Allow the paint to dry for 24 hours and then put in the oven at 300 degrees for 35 minutes to set the paint. This platter will be dishwasher safe, too! Fathers Day Ideas (Gift #2): Hammer Photo Stand Do you have a handy hubby? This little DIY is cute, easy, and will be appreciated by your husband for Father’s Day. Rather than giving him an everyday frame with a picture of the kids for him to take to the office, this hammer photo stand is rustic, manly, and unique— but be sure you don’t use his favorite hammer to create it! What You’ll Need: Hammer 1 by 1 wood piece slightly longer than hammer Stain Super glue Photo Box cutter Plaque The easiest thing to do is go to your local hardware store, get an inexpensive hammer, and take it to the lumber department, where you can tell one of the employees what you hope to do. They should be able to cut the wood for you in-store. (You may even be able to buy a pre-stained piece.) Super glue the hammer head to the wood piece as well as the part of the handle that touches the wood at the end. Use a box cutter to make a slight incision into the hammer’s handle. Then, place the picture in between the claw part of the hammer; the corner of the picture should go into the slit in the handle. The finishing touches can be purchased at your local craft store. There, you can find a pre-made plaque, sticker letters, or, if you have great handwriting, grab a sharpie! Fathers Day Ideas (Gift #3): Seasoning Box Subscription Back to the grill! Is Dad a culinary connoisseur? Does he love trying new recipes and rubs for his grillin’ master pieces? Make Father’s Day last all year with these seasoning box subscriptions: BBQ Box If nothing makes the dad in your life happier than the application of flame to a great cut of meat, this is the subscription for him. This subscription box is $24.99 a month and it comes with BBQ sauces, rubs, and spices that will take his grill game to the next level. Piquant Post This subscription box is $11.99 a month. It includes four new spices each month. Bonus— the subscription also includes four delicious recipes from around the world, featuring the spices. The whole family will enjoy this service! Heat Seeker Is it impossible to find a food that’s too spicy for the dad in your life? Sign up for the Heat Seeker and every three months, Dad will get a delivery of spicy food, snacks, sauces, seeds, and spices galore! This is a heat-lover’s delight! Father’s Day Gift #4: Dad’s Docking Station This is a thoughtful, unique, and best of all, easy gift for the dad in your life. A few clicks of the mouse and your gift is en route! Sold on Etsy, the Dad’s docking station gives Dad a place for his phone to charge, his sunglasses or glasses to hang, his wallet to go, his keys to place, and his pocket change (or any other random pocket items) to be. It is even customizable! If you’re not worried about customization, you can also find it here and still in time for Father’s Day! Fathers Day Ideas (Gift #5): A Home Cooked Meal & A Clean House Sometimes the best gifts for Dad are the simplest.
